Steve Jobs

Watching his performance in a keynote speech leaves you awestruck. How can anyone be so captivating? His presentations are both art and lesson. I am a big fan ever since he introduced the iPod Nano from the small jeans pocket. It’s not just his products but the way he gels these gizmos in our everyday life that makes him and Apple so successful. Today, I just wonder how we could ever do without an iPod in our life.
Steve is an artist of the techno age. He lives and breathes the KISS principle. He just doesn’t talk technology, he preaches it. Where Bill churns out statistics and techno jargon which only the nerdiest of the nerds comprehend, Steve paints a picture that uses colors, shapes, people and makes the masses realize that his next invention will change their lives forever, for better. A simple example of this would be how is showed in this year’s presentation, the difference between a 64 bit machine and a 32 bit machine. He ran an application side by side and at the end just highlighted the nos of seconds it took to complete the task on both the machines. Steve loves to highlight stuff that is UI based. He doesn’t bother about the stuff that goes behind. He knows people who are interested will dig it out anyways. He is one person that would not only get something to work, but make it work beautifully
And he is not afraid to take a jab at MS in his presentation once in a while. I just loved the way his poked fun at MS strategy of launching multiple flavors of Vista for different prices. That was classic Steve.
If you haven’t seen the keynote, I would recommend that you do. Youtube should have it. And while you are at it, go over his past presentation too. You will love them.
